Martin Jones turned aside 27 shots to record his second consecutive shutout and his WHL-leading seventh shutout of the season as the Calgary Hitmen blanked the visiting Swift Current Broncos 2-0 on Thursday.
Mark Friesen turned aside 31 of 33 shots he faced in a losing cause for the Broncos (34-30-0-4), who see their three-game winning streak come to an end and remain in eighth place in the Eastern Conference – five points ahead of Prince Albert.
