The Eastman Selects take game one against the Winnipeg Wild in their Semi-Final Matchup. The final score was 3-1. Brendan Edie made a total of 25 saves after allowing one goal in the first period. Cory Nygaard made 21 saves, shutting out the Eastman in the second and third but without help from an offensive attack. The Wild will travel to Beausejour next to play the Eastman at home on the 9th, starting at 8pm.
The Southwest Cougars defeated the Pembina Valley Hawks with a 3 to 2 win. Brian Archibald made 28 saves for the win, while Reed Peters made 21 saves for the Hawks. The next game is in Souris on the 10th at 8:15pm.
