GDI goaltenders went to battle last week as the Bantam 1 Winnipeg Monarchs faced off against the Warriors.
There is a saying that ‘the numbers don’t lie’ and that was the case for Wednesday night’s Bantam one matchup at Notre Dame Arena between the Warriors and Monarchs. The two teams are deadlocked in the standings as they battle to the bitter end for third place and the product on the ice reflected that fact. For the full game write-up Click Here.
Both goaltenders, Ty Edmonds (Warriors) and Evan Johnson (Monarchs), were selected to the All-Star game back in January and heading into the playoffs both sit near the top of all goaltenders in total goals against with a low 29 and 32.
With goaltending having the large impact on a teams success, each duo defending the net, Ty Edmonds/Max Hrechkosy and Evan Johnson/Ben Thorlakson, looks to be the reason towards their teams success.
