With help from both vetern goaltender Adam Bartko and rookie Myles Hovdebo the Ice Wolves have taken a strangle hold on the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with minimal goals against at 143 in 46 games - the second lowest in the league. La Ronge currently sits first in the Bauer division, three points up on Melfort. Within the CJHL Current Weekly Rankings - La Ronge is ranked 10th
With the addition of young Myles Hovdebo, La Ronge has been provided with security between the pipes. Myles has a record of 10 wins and 1 loss and a save percentage of .912.
Myles has trained and instructed with GDI Prairies steadily over the past several years. As a goaltender he brings to the table an athletic and highly technical approach towards his position. His passion and dedication in net is second to none. If you have a chance to see him in a game, take note of his strong ice awareness as plays develop - always judging opposing threats.
Below is a past interview with Myles dating back to November 15th from the Ice Wolves Insider.
