Designed for a progression of skill levels, these camps are vital to the long-term growth of a goaltender. Advanced and High-Performance progressions are provided this year in Regina.
The Advanced progression drives home the fundamental skills necessary for more sophisticated development. Each goaltenders is able to refine their technical skills and take their positional and post-save game to a higher standard. As GDI teaches goaltenders to read a play effectively, from both sides of the puck, goaltenders develop key read-and-react skills.
The High-Performance level provides the highest-level of instruction available on a regional basis and is designed for the elite-level netminder. This program hones tactical and transitional skills and expedites a goaltenders physiological and psychological development. GDI analyzes and integrates shot preparation and positional play into each goalies style of play. Teaching netminders to integrate highly efficient down mobility, GDI calibrates the athletes "up" game with their "down" game.
